Seniority Moves
There are many ways to make a seniority move. The first is by a standing bid. In CMTS you go to the bid maintenance section and fill out the sections for whichever board you would like to bid. Below there is an example of how to submit a standing bid and an example of how your bid maintenance should look after it is submitted.
The next type of seniority move is bidding on jobs that get “bulletined.” Under the advertisement selection in CMTS they will post jobs to be bid on. You will type in the correct hub to bring up specific locations (Zone and hub for Cheyenne are CW). If there are any jobs available they will show up on a list. In order to bid on them you will type in the description information in the standing bid portion of CMTS.
When you inevitably get bumped you will have the opportunity to bump anywhere your seniority will hold. Once an individual gets bumped they get placed onto the bump board. At that point the individual has 48 hours to place themselves somewhere or the company can force them anywhere they see fit in zone 200. Place yourself using the Self-service Seniority Move feature under Crew on MyUP. enter the circ-7, board, and crew ID for the turn you would like to bump to. You can only bump junior employees who have less seniority than yourself.
