How to verify you were given the correct number of compensated days:
The first step to verify compensated days will be to login to MyUP and go to CMTS. On the CMTS page, select the "Time Off" Dropdown, then timekeeping then timekeeping statistics. From this page follow the steps below. If you do not believe you have been given the correct number of compensated days, let your local chairman know immediately.
Vacation
1) At the bottom of the timekeeping statistics page, select Vacation Stats.
2) Verify that the number of "allowed" weeks matches the below requirements:
Lifetime minimum number of miles
• 1 week = 1 year of service, and 24,000 miles
• 2 weeks = 2 years of service and 32,000 miles lifetime minimum
• 3 weeks = 8 years of service and 128,000 miles lifetime minimum
• 4 weeks = 17 years of service and 272,000 miles lifetime minimum
• 5 weeks = 25 years of service and 400,000 miles lifetime minimum
3) If you requested single days, verify that number is appropriate for the number of weeks requested as single days. Note: if you converted LV days to PS days, the number of single days will be less that a full week. For example, if you have 2 weeks of single days but convert 3 LV days to PS days, you will show 11 single days allowed.
Note: Vacation is given on January 1st each year. A years vacation must be fully utilized no later that December 31st.
Personal Leave
1) At the bottom of the timekeeping statistics page, select PL stats.
2) Verify that the number of "allowed" days matches the below requirements:
Entitlement based on years of seniority as a trainman (including transfers).
• 2 days - less than 5 years
• 4 days - 5 to 10 years
• 6 days - 10 to 15 years
• 8 days - 15 to 20 years
• 11 days - 20 or more years
Note: Personal Leave days is given on August 1st each year. They must be utilized no later than July 31st each year or they will be "banked."
Paid Sick
1) At the bottom of the timekeeping statistics page, select PS stats.
2) Verify that the number of "allowed" days matches the correct number that should be given.
• If fully marked up on on January 1st - 5 PS days
• Marked up between January 1st and March 13th - 5 PS days
• Marked up between March 14th and May 24th - 4 PS days
• Marked up between May 25th and August 4th - 3 PS days
• Marked up between August 5th and October 15th - 2 PS days
• Marked up between October 16th and November 30th - 1 PS days
• Marked up between December 1st and December 31st - None
Note: Paid Sick days are given on January 1st each year. They must be fully utilized no later that December 31st or they will be "banked."
Additional Day
1) At the bottom of the timekeeping statistics page, select AD stats.
2) Verify that the number of "allowed" days matches equals 1. If working as a trainmen, you will be given 1 AD/PL day. If working as an engineer, you will have one day under the category you selected during vacation bidding the previous year.
Note: The Additional Day is given on January 1st each year. This day must be utilized no later than December 31st or it will be "banked." The Additional Day is not subject to supply and demand except for the following holidays, beginning at 1800 hours the evening before a holiday: Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day.
