Work Train Performing Revenue Service

Your claims:

• When called in work train service and and instructed to perform revenue service (dog catching, helper, etc.).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

• A complete copy of your federal tie-up.

• A printed snap shot of the protecting extra board, showing first and second out available conductor.

REQUIRED CLAIM LANGUAGE:

Was called off the __(circ -7)___  ___(board)__  for the ___(job id/train symbol)__ on __/__/__ .  At _____ hrs, we were instructed to take control of revenue train _______ ___ and ___(explain what you did)_____. Per 1984 Crew Consist Agreement, Article IV, Section 3, Question 1,  crew handling a non-revenue train (work or wreck train) will not be required to handle a revenue car. Claiming basic day penalty over and above guarantee for this penalty

• The first out rested employee on protecting extra board should claim a basic day penalty.
